An Online Election Was Held for the First Time
Facing the COVID-19 era, university society has changed a lot including lecture methods and the way of holding events. The election is not the exception. It was held online for the first time from November 23rd to 26th.
The Revised Scholarship System Contains a New Standard
The Dongguk University Scholarship Foundation revised the scholarship system that will be applied from the second semester of 2021. The new system will score students by adding 50% of grades, 30% of participation in extracurricular activities, and 20% of family circumstances, which is measured by income decile that is gauged by Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF).
MARU May Give Wings to Donggukians!
MARU, a creative learning place, is newly developed on the fourth floor of the Central Library of Dongguk University. MARU is the abbreviation of “Make And Revolutionize U” and also called as Maker Space. MARU provides space, equipment and education to support Donggukians so that they can grow up as talented people suitable for the era of the Fourth Industry Revolution.
Dongguk University Soccer Team Won Spring League And This Autumn League Again!
Dongguk University Soccer Team won Autumn University Soccer League following Spring University Soccer League. The finals of both Leagues were against Soongsil University, and we both won come-from-behind victories. The Autumn League were delayed three times due to the COVID-19, and finally began in October without audience. The Soccer Team of Dongguk University became a real power in soccer by winning two Leagues
Online Festival Canceled in Accordance with the Result of the Survey GSC conducted
Since almost every school event has been postponed or canceled due to COVID-19, lots of universities held online festivals. Therefore, the General Student Council (GSC) also tried to hold an untact festival. Before making concrete plans, the GSC conducted a survey of Donggukians if they want it or not from October 6th to 10th.
Meet the Newly Changed Logo of the Human Rights & Disabled Students Support Center
The Human Rights & Disabled Students Support Center hosted a “New Logo Design Competition.” The competition ran from November 2nd to 30th and the result will be announced in mid-December. The winner’s logo design will be used to produce promotional items and stickers for The Human Rights & Disabled Students Support Center.
