Donggukians Think Major English Lecture Is Unnecessary
One of the things that Dongguk University¡¯s General Student Council (GSC), Doyak, is currently carrying is reorganization of the major English lectures. Dongguk University¡¯s graduation requirements include taking major English lectures. This has been a problem so far because it disturbs understanding of the major. Also, students have to take English lectures even though their majors are not related with English.
The General Student Council Lacks Communication with Donggukians
Since March, there have been a lot of posts criticizing the General Student Council (GSC) on Everytime, the online community of school. The reason why they have been criticized was not just for one or two mistakes.
An Exhibition of Preserved Relics Is Being Held at Dongguk University Museum
The exhibition titled ¡°Time Capsules of 863 Resurrected Again¡± is held at the permanent exhibition room on the first floor of Dongguk University Museum. Operating hours are from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. on weekdays and the museum is closed on weekends and holidays. The relics on display include the Treasure No. 741, ¡°Former Daegu Biroam Three-story Stone Pagoda in Donghwasa Temple,¡± ¡°Songjin and Silk Fabric,¡± ¡°Yeonhwamunpan,¡± and three items of ¡°Sotap.¡±
Special Kits Were Provided for Dongguk University Students
The General Student Council (GSC) held a kit event for Dongguk University students to celebrate the start of a new semester. It was conducted on a first-come, first-served basis on March 18th, and a total of 500 kits were provided to the students.
A Quiz Event to Commemorate the Day of the Disabled
The Human Rights & Disabled Students Support Center held a quiz event to commemorate the Day of the Disabled (April 20th). This event was designed to encourage students to have a point of view that ¡°we are all the same person¡± regardless of whether they have a disability or not.
Dongguk University Has Opened a Joint Lecture with Eight Universities in Korea
By 2021, Dongguk University has started a shared joint university project with eight universities in Korea. Shared joint university project was launched to respond preemptively to changes in the education tools based on online education, which has become commonplace due to COVID-19.
