The period is from September 27th to December 15th for submitting and students should submit the essay to ICEED office (at Wonheung Hall, E103) with 2 pages essay in A4 format.
The essay form is available on the ICEED website (http://iceed.dongguk.edu/). You can download the application formats and write on them.
The purpose of the essay contest is to improve the quality of education, share contents of English lectures and create an atmosphere conducive to academic pursuit for the lecture improvement.
Evaluation committee will make out evaluation table through investigating essays. A valuation basis is put on grammar which (counted for 30%), power of expression (counted for 30%) and creativity (counted for 40%).
Screening and announcement day is in December 21st and ceremony of awarding prize day is in December 23rd. First prize is 500,000 won (one person), second prize is 300,000 won (two persons), third prize is 200,000 won (three persons), fourth prize is 100,000 won (six persons), and the fifth prize is 50,000 won (ten persons).
Every participant will receive souvenir and the works of winners will be published in the form of a book after the competition.
