The purpose of this Buddhist ceremony is to help the students understand Buddhism more easily. Students tend to think that Buddhism is difficult because of the theoretical doctrines learned in class. To remove this misconception, Jeonggakwon offers students a chance to carry those doctrines into practice thorough the Buddhist ceremony and to assimilate Buddhism into their lives.
Many students welcome it, which designed to impart pragmatic knowledge based on buddhist ideas. However, there are some complaints in connection with the level of lecture. "It was a casual Buddhist ceremony that I've ever had. We start a yebul ceremonial service with chanting and singing songs, which makes me feel that Buddhism is such a familiar friend. But lecture was difficult to understand despite the informative subject," said a student, participated in Buddhist ceremony for students on every Tuesdays.
