The achievements and passion of the players reminded me of my dreams and hopes at Dongguk University. When No. 459 is issued, my term as editor is now less than three months away. The players gave me directions as I was thinking about what direction to move forward after leaving me at the Dongguk Post. Despite the difficult situations, such as the referee’s biased judgment and serious injuries, our players did not give up and moved on. The victory won through endless effort and dedication would have been sweet and valuable above all else. They remained at the top of Asia again, recording four consecutive winnings in baseball and three consecutive winnings in soccer. Players have become models for keeping hopes alive by constantly striving to realize their dreams. These examples have given us all the power to realize greater hope.
In addition, the players are more mature than the past generation in enjoying the game as a game. I thought I would laugh even if I lost without being obsessed with the result. At the same time, they showed their tenacity to not give up until the end. After winning, I thought I would express my personality while enjoying joy. I also have the power to overcome any difficulties and look at the future brightly. The efforts of the Asian Games athletes gave me a dream and a passion for hope. I learned the tenacity of not sitting down and not giving up until the end even when faced with failure.
