Dongguk Theater Lab, a theater company founded by Dongguk University, will premiere the play “Okcheon Inn” at Dongguk University’s Lee Hae-rang Arts Theater from March 17th to April 2nd. Dongguk Theater Lab is a theater company created by Cho Joon-hee, a professor of the Department of Theater, and is characterized by combining practice in the theater and research on acting methods.
The first project of Dongguk Theater Lab, “Okcheon Inn,” is directed by Professor Cho Joon-hee, and graduates from acting majors participate as actors and production staff. “Okcheon Inn” tells the story of Hye-ja couple, who run an inn in Gunbuk-myeon, Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, and their three children, Jae-nam, Jae-han, and Jae-kyung. The message that this work wants to convey is “Patience and Reconciliation,” and depicts a family member struggling to bloom even in the pain of repeated life.
