The Best Memories of My School Life at Dongguk

   "What can I do to keep up with my English work?” It was one of the biggest concerns I had when I came into university. Then, I encountered the Dongguk Post and made up my mind to apply for it only because of the fact that I love English. Thankfully, I got to join the crew and I have never regretted joining it. Of course, there were some hard times with the newspaper publication work. However, ironically, I always enjoyed those hard times. For a new publication of a newspaper edition, which is done three times a semester, it takes us approximately a month in total from item conferences to editing work. This whole process was definitely tough. However, when it is completed and students get to read it, I feel like all our efforts are paid off, which works as the driving force of my job.

   After the outbreak of COVID-19, we had to go through confusion due to schedule adjustment and not being allowed to use school facilities properly. However, I think we were able to go over all these difficult times without any problems because of our impeccable teamwork. Especially, our editor-in-chief, Da-young, played the biggest role in it.

   During COVID-19, it was desperate that so many people are dying of and getting hurt from this ridiculous and infectious disease. Through this ridiculous situation, I realized how important health is. Therefore, I thought that Donggukians should pay more attention to one’s health and make actual efforts to it. So I came up with an idea of making the “Healthline” section in our newspaper, which provides advice and guidelines on health, especially ones that may be taken for granted but can be overlooked. Actually, some of my acquaintances told me that it was good to know some useful health-related facts that people do not know or were forgotten, and professors showed good responses to it which made me proud.

   Since I started working at the Dongguk Post of my own volitation, I was so happy the whole time. I feel thankful for the Donnguk Post for providing me such valuable experiences I can only get at the Post. Also, thanks to our crew members for presenting me precious memories, and thanks to professors for always helping us with our work. Although I am done with the Dongguk Post, I will be keep cheering for all of you. Wish us all good luck!
