On August 3rd, 22 people were killed in a shooting inside the United States of America (USA) El Paso Wal-Mart store, which were crowded with residents shopping for the weekend. Even before the incident died down, on August 22nd, a chef working at a hotel in California was arrested on charges of attempting a gun shooting. Hundreds of ammunition and guns came out of the suspect’s house. Also, there were and weapons which are capable of mass destruction. It almost kill a lot of people again. U.S. media reported that at least 29 people have been arrested in the U.S. since the shooting of El Paso Walmart in Texas, earlier this month. Is it the right system to legalize guns in this American society?
The background of the era played a major role in the legalization of guns by the United States. The possession of guns is legal based on the Second Amendment. “A well-controlled militia is necessary for state defense, so the people’s rights regarding possession and carrying of weapons cannot be violated.”
However, the problem is that the clause was established in 1792. At that time, American society looked totally different. The time when each state was consisted of one’s defense forces and if security problems occurred, non-military people in the state were called in to fight back. Under these circumstances, the U.S. government was so financially weak that it was difficult to pay them one gun per person. So, it would be more profitable to have each gun on its own and bring it when one was called up.

The reason may be because of the political funding and bribery capabilities of the American Guns Association, which has already been handled by many media outlets. Also, the sentiment of the American people, who have lived in a society that is already exposed to guns for a long time, may think it is all right. In other words, the desire to rely on guns to ensure their safety will also contribute to keeping on the current gun possession society.
However, nothing is more precious than a man’s life. It would be the great benefit to society to control any elements that threaten its life. Also, recent events in the U.S. show that the direction of the gun, which they believed that it would be protect them, is finally coming back to themselves. Therefore, if the country is changing into a country with a certain amount of social system, it would be right to revise the law that suits the society.
