It seems it has been only a few days after joining The Dongguk Post and I still feel like a cub reporter. I cannot believe I became a post reporter yet. As a cub reporter, there was not a single easy activity in The Dongguk Post. At first, it was difficult for me to write news articles, upload articles on the website, and to cover a news. It was also a great burden for me that I had to keep the deadline of the articles and the time to work for a newspaper. I did not know how to write a good article, so I wrote articles slowly and poorly organized them at first.
However, after writing articles several times and peer editing articles, my writing skills improved. The teachings of the seniors were also a great help to me.When I first wrote articles about public hearings, I felt confident. On the other hand, I was still too shy to have an interview when I was a cub reporter. At first, it took a long time to visit all of the places to cover, but when time went by, it only took half than before.
Meanwhile, when I went to the winter seminar, I could find myself developing, which reminded me of the events of the semester. I also felt more familiar with the members after the seminar. I thought “Even if I face any kind of hard work, I am sure I would be able to handle in the future.” I thank the processes that I went through and finally, I am now getting good results such as publishing newspaper.
As a post reporter, I would like to do The Dongguk Post activities with more advanced ideas and actions than before. We will continue our cheerful newspaper activities with cub reporters who might join The Dongguk Post this semester and with senior reporters. Also, I want to continue publication of excellent and interesting newspapers
