   A social gathering for the bereaved family of the late Park Se-won was held on April 28th 6:30 P.M., at Myeongjin Hall.

   With the chairperson of the GSC, An Dre hosting, the gathering started off with a silent tribute to the deceased, then led on to question and answer period with the family.

   The family said that they still cannot believe that their son has passed away and the reminder of the sad reality comes to them only on dinner tables when there is one empty seat left. 

   They also confessed that they “expected nothing but a final ruling that judged guilty of murder” on the 1st hearing, however the name of the given penalty was “professional negligence” with six years in prison to the assailant. They stated that they are on the process making a 2nd hearing, and that they will keep on fighting until the final judgment is set as a case of murder. “I believe that this is the only way we can prevent another innocent young men from getting killed during their military service,” they said.

   Meanwhile, the memorial ceremony of Park Se-won will be held at the Eightfold Path on 18th of May. The bereaved family and many Donggukians have been cherishing the memory of Park Se-won ever since the “Accident of Gun Fire at Gupabal” broke out, when Park Se-won, who was serving his duty as a conscripted policeman was shot to death by lieutenant Park on the 25th of August, 2015.
