The Student Counseling Center provides psychological counseling at Dongguk University. The center helps DU students who are having a hard time with  personal relations, courses, personality, and studying. In addition, there are many counseling programs offered such as individual or group counseling, psychology test, and sexual violence counseling. Students who would like to talk with experts in the center should visit the center, fill out application form, and make an appointment for counseling. Starting April 5, the center began charging for the psychology test.

Wee Ha-mi, the manager of the Student Counseling Center said, "I'm so surprised many students are interested in the center. I hope our school students find a solution to their problems. Also, I want our center to help our students more than ever before, so no students will always be worrying about learning, their carrers, or any problems that they may have."

The Competency Development Center (CDC) will open in September, 2012. The center is currently preparing its administrative system now. The CDC will help students at Dongguk University by coaching them about their career and aid them to find jobs. Also, the center will keep individual's information with regard to soul-searching process at the university for up to four years. Even though students have graduated from the university, they can search their individual statistics, and can learn more about themselves.

Kim Tae-hyung, Deputy director of the center, said, "I pity many students do not have the ability to map out their future. Through our center, I hope our school's students will be able to find jobs that best suit their ability."
