<Improvement Self-indentity Camps>The Competency Development Center (CDC) held a camp for two days and one night for Dongguk freshmen in order to allow them to improve their self-identities at Lotte Human Resource Development Center from September 21st to 22nd. The camp’s participants were limited to students of The College of Engineering, Media College, and The College of Business only because this camp was related to LINC(Leaders in Industry- university Cooperation). 50 freshmen learned about self-leadership, and explored and understood the job world. Also, the CDC held a camp for three days and two nights for sophomores and juniors in college at the Korean Standards Association Human Resource Development Center from September 14th to the 16th. The participants learned ways to solve problems themselves and enjoyed having team building time.

<Up Programs>The CDC opened the Competency Up Program in the Career Lounge in the Main Building on the 10th. This program was prepared for Dongguk students who do not know what they should do and what they want. A job preference test could be taken and students had the time to gain information about successful campus life. One student said, “I don’t anything because I just enjoy drinking with my colleagues. This will change a lot now thanks to this job preference test.” On the 17th, the Presentation Ability Up Program was held at the same place. This program was to help students who do not like presentations and are afraid to come forward in the classroom. These shy students learned useful presentation skills and gained the opportunity to practice giving presentations.

<Individual and Team Communication Program>On the 19th, students came to the Career Lounge to participate in the Individual and Team Communication program. This program helps students who cannot communicate with other people for various reasons. By taking this communication program, they learned to interact with others more naturally and recognized how to communicate with many people all over the world. Also, they learned the good old fashioned know-how of why people might want to be their friends and how to makes friends with others.
