Education is one of the most important issues in modern society. It is because our next lawyers, doctors, politicians and scholars are given their fundamentals from middle and high schools. There are many controversies over wearing school uniforms to their children and it is certainly true that there are many advantages and disadvantages. I, however, believe certain dress code such as wearing school uniforms will increase students' academic excellence.The first reason for wearing school uniforms is to provide students with their identity. Person without having firm affirmation of his/her identity tends to mislead his life. However by wearing school uniforms one could find out where he/she stands and belongs.In addition, it will decrease the amount of time they would spend from choosing clothes to go school and consequentially it will reduce parents' costs from buying several clothes for their children. If school permits students to wear what they want it would easily make the poor students left alone in the end and it obviously will cause other problems.No one believes that school should exist for study purpose only. It is the fact that one of the main aspects of education is adapting students to real society when they graduate from school. From wearing school uniforms they learn about discipline and equality. They will realize how to behave as a group.Some people may argue that even though one changes his clothes everyday one's characteristic will remain same. I, however, experienced differently that my behavior varies according to the types of clothes I wear. In other words, if a man meets his friends with his formal suits on it is difficult to play active sports likewise generals from national army wear formal military uniforms to show his social status. These convey that the dress code and person's behaviors are highly connected to each other and above all current society wants, especially on high professions, conservative dressings.Consequently, school policies must be based on students' "learning" and they have to eliminate obstacles like fashionable school wear and separation of the poor and rich. If the clothes reflect one's status and behavior, wearing school uniforms will make our schools more scholastic.
