President Yoon Sung-yee is giving speech for celebrating 4.19 Revolution Commemorating Climbing Ceremony.

The 50th climbing ceremony for remembering 4.19 Revolution was held at Bukhan Mountain, April 12th. Despite of a lot of fine dust, many students and professors attended to the ceremony. The climbing ceremony started with short silent prayer for 4.19 Revolution at 9:40 A.M. After the prayer, there was an opening address of President Yoon Sung-yee, saying “This ceremony is not a normal climbing. While we are helping each other and sweating, we would feel the touch of past history, build a good relationship between senior and junior, and learn essential virtues as university students from professors.” Following this speech, there was a speech for praying for the students’ luck by Ra Dong-young, the Chairperson of the 4.19 Comrade Organization and speech for celebrating the climbing ceremony by Jeon Young-hwa, the president of the General Alumni Union.
After these speeches, students and professors headed to Bukhan Mountain. Though sunbeam was so strong that a UV warning had been issued, Donggukians finally gathered at the final destination, Taedongmun, and spent a time having lunch Through this event, Donggukians were able to have a meaningful experience to reflect on the significance and gratitude of the revolution.
