The first by-election of 2024 was held at the main auditorium on the third floor of the main building of the Seoul Campus on Wednesday. The by-election was conducted in the order of presentation of the candidate's opinion, media questions about the candidate's reaction to the school, and written questions from participants. The public hearing was attended by reporters from the school's media organizations, such as the Dongguk Post and Dongdae Newspaper, and other audience members.

First, the law school's delegates' association ran for the first time. The law school's delegates' association pledged to establish a communication channel, establish audit and the by-election guidelines, and enact/revise smooth bylaws. When asked if there is a risk of affecting the original duties of the delegates' association on the pledge to promote a project that the delegates' association and the student council will collaborate with each other, he said, "The core basis and role of the council is to check the student council, but the purpose of the check is to improve the quality of school life, and I thought that it would take time for the delegates' association and the student council to discuss and communicate to achieve this goal." When asked about the detailed plan to build a hotline for each grade, he answered that he is currently thinking of a Kakao Talk channel through which each grade's delegates' association communicates, and emphasized the importance of a communication channel, saying, "I think it is clear that a direct and anonymous communication channel will be needed to fulfill its role."

The second order was the student council of the College of Social Sciences. The student council's "Love Department" put forward three major pledges: rights, exchange, and transfer. Currently, the College of Social Sciences has a total of 10 departments. When asked about the direction and attitude the student council should go in the social science college to which many departments belong, he said, "Each department has a distinct personality. On the other hand, the identity of a student at a social science university is fading. The faint identity has narrowed the scope of the student council's movement. In order to create an efficient and active student council that can better understand student society, a creative and flexible personality is needed, and with this mind, a college-level sense of belonging should be expanded." Regarding the last activity, the project progress was sluggish in the first half due to the budget suspension, but in the second half, efforts were made to supplement problems such as the culture deterioration of community disconnection. However, he said he felt regret that it was difficult to solve the problem inherent in the College of Apology because it was operated under the emergency committee system. Finally, a plan was made to establish a media department to guide the news and information of the college more effectively. He said he expected more diverse schoolmates to be able to serve student autonomy than before, explaining the reason for the establishment of a new media department.

The last step was the student council of the College of Science. The council said it would hold the Myeongjin Sports Festival, which was canceled last year, and although nothing has been decided yet, it was planned based on a brief discussion with the head of the department of science. After the general the by-election, the council will hold regular weekly meetings to discuss how to proceed with the Myeongjin Sports Festival. Many of the pledges also appear to be generally carried out by the council, and when asked if they could inform them about whether the council is planning activities that are differentiated from other student councils, they said, "I think the aforementioned Myungjin Sports Festival is one of the activities differentiated from other. I think I'm working with the college of liberal arts. I think the college of liberal arts and science use the same building, so I think we can collaborate together. I don't think it's easy for the two different colleges to work together. Therefore, I think it's even more meaningful." Finally, the Q&A session ended with the emphasis on the importance of meticulousness and sincerity in the attitude and attitude that the student council should take, and a non- dogmatic and non-coercive attitude.
