On March 13th at 11:30 A.M., a significant memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between the Academy of Buddhist Studies at Dongguk University and the Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation. The ceremony brought together key representatives from Yeongdeok-gun, the Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation, and the Academy of Buddhist Studies to discuss and formalize their collaboration. The MOU aims to foster joint development efforts and community revitalization related to the Seoul International Meditation Expo and the Yeongdeok International Hi-Wellness Festa.

Through this agreement, both institutions commit to developing interconnected projects that bridge meditation and wellness, enhancing cooperation and resource sharing across education, research, culture, and tourism sectors, and nurturing international wellness experts. Effective three years from the signing date, the MOU sets the stage for ongoing collaboration between the two parties, promising sustained progress for the featured events and across related domains.
