On March 11, the "Hapjang Day" campaign was held at Dongguk University's Jeonggakwon. Starting with the three  refuges, people read the Heart Sutra, followed by a 108 folds process. Afterwards, the joint session began with their heads bowed to the Buddha with their hands together.

Meanwhile, the Hapjang day program was newly established as one of the pledges of President Yun Jae-woong, who started his term in March last year. It was created with the intention of people practicing and making hapjang a part of their liife. Accordingly, Dongguk University has designated the 11th of every month as the Hapjang day, so that all people, regardless of age, such as students, outsiders, and professors, can participate. The Dongguk Post hopes that many Donggukians will take an interest in the Hapjang day and practice greetings in their daily lives wishing for peace and happiness around them.
