   At 1 p.m. on July 19th, a ceremony was held in the conference room of the Construction Committee on the 5th floor of Dongguk University’s main building to award the “Seongnimsa Temple Local Future Buddhists Promotion Scholarship Certificate” for students from Mapo-gu, Seoul. This was prepared through 10 million won in donations from Seongnimsa Temple, which was supported to encourage students from Mapo-gu to study. 10 scholarship students participated in the award ceremony, including Ven. Don Kwan Sunim, the chairman of the Construction Committee, Yun Jae-woong, the president of the Dongguk University and Park Ki-ryeon, secretary-general of the Construction Committee. Ven. Gwang Yong Sunim of Seongnimsa Temple was unable to attend for personal reasons, so Ven. Jin Myung Sunim, the head of Jeonggakwon, participated in the meeting instead.
