It seems like only yesterday that I was covering and writing articles as a post reporter, however, I became an international desk editor and write swan song now. When I first entered Dongguk University, I was at a loss for what club to join. I did not have a chance to meet my seniors because I was in the COVID-19 class, and it was also hard to meet my colleagues. Just since I love learning English, and because I was in an English-related department, I blindly applied for an English newspaper club and started a busy life as a reporter.
My first life as a reporter was not easy. It was my first time writing an article, and for me, who was passive, everything was challenging and courageous, such as going to the interview, actively interviewing, and calling for coverage. However, I have adapted to it and now I feel proud that I have grown quite a lot as I see myself speeding up my given work and even teaching cub reporters. At the same time, I have a little regret that I should have worked harder to write better articles. While working as a reporter of the Dongguk Post, I was able to meet wonderful people in various fields and hear a lot of good things. I cannot forget that I was able to see and feel the mindset of the people who become the best in any field from the side. It was a meaningful time to learn a lot from my colleagues and seniors who worked as reporters together. It was not easy to do it at the same time as the semester; however, I think therefore I was able to endure hard life.
I wonder what else will happen to me in the future. There will also be hard work. However, what is clear is that I have done it in the Dongguk Post, and I am trying to work on everything in the future with the idea that this is a piece of cake. Life as a journalist in the Dongguk Post has been the foundation for every step forward me. What I want to tell people who are worried about entering the Dongguk Post is that I do not know which club they are considering, however, I could grow up, run with my body, and learn a lot from this club.
I do not know what my dream is for the future; however, I hope both the Dongguk Post and my future shine brightly.
