As I focused on writing articles in which deadlines have been reached, I am now writing the tenth, the last article in the Dongguk Post. Honestly, whenever I participated in making a newspaper, as there were so many difficulties and unexpected situations, I just wanted to finish it as quickly as I could. However, this time, the final work of making the newspaper is somewhat relieved, on the other side, it makes me sad.
Just over a year after entering university, I joined the Dongguk Post to do at least one meaningful activity. Reporter activity during four semesters taught me a lot, and I can say it is one of the most memorable activities in my university life. At first, I thought it would be over if I write a few pages of articles. However, it took longer and needed more people’s help to write an article than I expected. I came to feel responsible for writing more accurate and interesting articles. The fact that anyone could read my article at any time made me feel more responsible. In addition to writing articles, I was able to experience belonging to an organization with systems. I had to discuss what I was doing with my colleagues, and get approval from the teachers and professors. After going through the coordination process many times, I learned that as a member of an organization, I cannot do everything I want to do. Sometimes it was frustrating; however, there were also many things to reflect on. Maybe I have experienced a small society that I am going to go through after graduation.
During the first two semesters, it was a time to learn and adapt to the Dongguk Post following seniors. After that, I also wanted to make a more developed and influential post. I could not make a big difference in a year, but I tried everything I could. I tried to make the Dongguk Post more efficient and enjoyable for students. I made it with affection, and in the process, I got a bigger affection.
Above all, I can say, my best memory is the colleague reporters of the Dongguk Post, who did both hard and good things together. I am so thankful for the 53rd and 54th reporters who taught and helped me, Da-young, Da-hyun, Jae-eun, Hye-rin, and Ji-won. I feel the most gratitude for the 55th reporters, Yu-ri, our editor-in-chief who always listened to me and other reporters, Joon-sang, who silently solved difficulties that we faced on, and Ji-yeon, who was sometimes mischievous but worked more diligently than anyone else. I also feel thankful for 56th reporters Ji-yeon, Jun-ho, Ji-woo, and Hye-won, as they followed me, an immature person, and made a more bright and comfortable atmosphere this year. Thanks to all of them, I think I can say that the Dongguk Post, my one new challenge, was successful. I am happy that I can say proudly that I was a reporter of the Dongguk Post.
