It feels like just yesterday that I wrote my debut essay, but I cannot believe I am already writing the last one. The last four semesters, when I joined the Dongguk Post and worked as a reporter, seem to have passed quickly. For me, the Dongguk Post is largely divided into three periods. First, it was when I was a cub reporter who showed more of a lack of something than a good performance. Second, it was when I was a post reporter who was able to adapt to the office little by little and make a presentation with confidence. Finally, it was during my time as editor-in-chief, that I had to lead a total of eight reporters, considering how the Dongguk Post could become a more influential and public media organization in the campus, and acted. After spending these three periods over four semesters, Yu-ri, a cub reporter who was quite tiny, became the editor-in-chief who drew the future of the Dongguk Post leading eight members.
The presentation process, which was not as easy as I thought, the form of articles with a fixed frame, a total of more than eight corrections, and newspaper work using new programs made me feel that the job of the Dongguk Post was not easy. In addition, as I did a lot of school activities other than the Dongguk Post and did not have much personal time, the typewriting work that was carried out by reducing sleep and delaying work hours became a more unforgettable issue.
However, many parts made me forget all these difficulties, so I was able to spend a Dongguk Post life patiently and passionately. The difficulty disappeared immediately when I thought of myself in the future, who became a “reporter” and observed people living in the world more closely and reported based on it. In addition, meeting with media center teachers, Dongguk Post seniors, and media seniors who work in the press was a great help. Above all, I think it was more possible since there were Dongguk Post reporters who made newspapers together.
There were many shortcomings rather than good ones, but the 54th seniors who always led us in a good direction, the 55th peers who spent the four semester at the press together, and the 56th co-workers who wanted to say thank you for following my lead for the year and take care of next year! I am grateful that it was a chance to meet such good colleagues who I would like to continue their relationship in the future and could get a step closer to my dream. I look forward to achieving my dream of becoming a reporter in the future and appearing in the interview page as a Post-alumni somebody. Bye for now!
