It Is a First Step of Becoming a Cool Journalist

   The beginning was my abstract aspiration to go overseas. The thought that as there are many countries around the world, I do not want to stay in South Korea has always caught my attention about international issues, and I saw the writing about recruiting the Dongguk Post reporter. The word that the Dongguk Post can give an opportunity of overseas coverage fascinated me in one moment, I decided to join the Dongguk Post. Working as a cub reporter, I have got a lot of articles writing and article correction. I was pretty confident in writing, but writing the article was different from what I thought. There were a lot of considerations such as the position of sentence, word spacing, word selection, and after writing articles, I had to go through a few article corrections. It was not easy at first, however as I adjusted, my ability to use sentences and meticulousness had become the advantage of consisting me. I had also got opportunities to meet people who are working as journalist such as reporter or announcer, they have been leading me to think the job about journalist seriously that I had had only interesting. Nowadays, I decided to be a journalist along with the dream of being entrepreneur which I have pursued for a long time and practicing writing skills such as the construction of writing or flow of writing by writing myself. I have a desire one day my college junior of the Dongguk Post would interview me and have an opportunity as a cool alumnus to pass down my experiences.

   There are a lot of things that I got from the Dongguk Post cub reporter works. Meticulousness that I should write and check carefully even a punctuation mark or a word spacing, communicating skills that I should get information from people, and social issues that I should know well to write articles. Not only about writing articles, but I also got my time management skills. One thing I did not concerned before being a member of the Dongguk Post is there were so many works that I had to manage my schedules and time very thoroughly. There were a lot of works with deadline, thus I have got to acquire time management capability with assigning the order of priority. 

   Now, as a post reporter and a dreamer who wants to become a journalist, I will make the Dongguk Post newspaper colorful and fun with more abundant writings, not forgetting my pledge to “write interestingly from the reader’s point of view, the topic that readers are interested in.”
