If someone asks me to tell one best thing I did after entering Dongguk University, I will not hesitate to tell them that it was applying for the Dongguk Post. As I came to hope for a job as a journalist, I needed to make sure the job suited my aptitude. Working as a cub reporter of the Dongguk Post was a good chance to check this out. Luckily, it turned out that I truly want to become a journalist.
Of course, working as a cub reporter of the Dongguk Post was not easy. It was hard to come up with items for articles every time, and I had to spend time writing articles even though I was busy preparing for assignments and exams. Also, I had to overcome my shy personality when conducting interviews, and I was annoyed when there was a blockage in writing articles since I believed that I had some English skills. However, despite all those hardships, I do not regret working as a cub reporter of the Dongguk Post. I learned how to write accurate and fair articles and express my opinions confidently. Also, thanks to my colleagues and teachers, my writing skill and English skill are improving.
As a post reporter from now on, I will work hard to write useful and accurate articles that people consider “good articles,” and improve my English skill, too. In addition, I am looking forward to developing the Dongguk Post with my colleagues.
