To be honest, I do not remember the day I applied for The Dongguk Post, since my head was full of hesitation about applying for it. I tortured myself for more than three months by worrying about applying because I am not a type of person who enjoys being with new people in a new environment. This is why I cannot recall my feelings on that day. However, as I have been working here for six months now, I can say with confidence that applying to the Post was my best decision I have ever made after I got in to Dongguk University.

While I am working as a school reporter, I learned not only how to write articles in English but also about communicating with many people. By meeting with school staff and faculty, members of the GSC, and many students in various fields, I have learned ways of interacting and having conversations with diverse people. Also, by covering stories with a recorder and a camera, I have become more concerned about school matters than when I was a “banal” student. The Dongguk Post gave me an opportunity to become a mature university student and to enjoy my school life.

There must be many more obstacles waiting in my remaining time at the Post, but I am sure that I would be able to meet these challenges bravely, so that I can overcome them by myself. The Post has changed me in such way, and I expect the Post will continue to change me in a good way.
