The first time I went to the The Dongguk Post office to hand in my resume, I was immediately taken by the inviting atmosphere. I wanted to do something valuable and meaningful in the university: writing for The Dongguk Post, I hoped, would help me realize this dream. Since childhood, I’ve wanted to be a reporter. To make this dream come true, I worked hard learning how to write an article. A career in journalism always seemed attractive to me, but there were no newspapers at my elementary, middle or high school. As a consequence, my English writings skills developed slowly. Another problem is my major, Computer Engineering: this is not a subject congenial to learning English. Nevertheless, I’ve really wanted to improve my English and, through this, to be a successful Dongguk Post reporter. In order to achieve this wish, I need to study English harder and learn interview techniques. It has been difficult but I have been gradually learning reporting and editing skills. In the future, I want to be an energetic reporter and write many articles about my major. I also want to be a good junior and a proud senior later.
