I have often heard Chungmuro called "Movie street." But while walking on this street. I only saw a lot of pet shops. So I began to think: (Where were all the movie theaters?) "Why does Chungmuro have so many pet shops?"   I played with the question in my mind. I asked my co-workers, my seniors, and so on. I also looked for an answers via the Internet. But nobody could help me.       During the summer vacation, I had hard training at the Post. There was a program that included submitting a university-related report. Other reporters chose worn-out ones. But I wanted to deal with a unique theme, so I selected: "Why does Chungmuro have so many pet shops?"  To solve this question, I visited pet shops here and there and put the question to the managers. "Excuse me, sir. I'm a The Dongguk Post reporter, Seo Yong-geun. Could you tell me why so many pet shops are clustered here?" At first, the managers nodded their heads uncertainly. But then they explained in detail:   "In the 1960s, the Daehan Theater area was known as the street of the young. Aiming at the youth market, some pet shops opened. And other pet shops followed them because it was a good business." The reason was simple.   Though I didn't get a big story, I felt happiness because I achieved something new as a "reporter," not as a normal student. I was aware that this full-feeling let journalists endure their hard routine.   Now I'm eager to face a wide variety of experiences. I believe the Post will give me many chances. I will try my best at The Dongguk Post.
