The Strength of The Dongguk Post

I read past three issues of The Dongguk Post.Reading closely each article, I could realize how devotedly have the editorial staffs poured their energy to The Post. Every article seems to have gotten sufficient care and fully supervised.  First of all, the cover stories looked very appropriate to the respective situations. Especially in the April issue, matching the cover story with faculty essay wastimely hit to bring the Dokdo dispute under more consideration. And by dividing the article into several categories, it tried to search various aspects of the issue. In dealing with a topic like this, I think, personal approach as well as mass approach would be helpful. If responses of individual Japanese had been added, the article could have made readers recognize more clearly our current situation.   I appreciated the 'international' section that enriched my scientific knowledge with the valuable information. While reading, I wondered why under the title of 'international' were the articles only on the natural science. Is it prescribed so or happened by chance?  The Dongguk Post's strongest point seems it always focuses on the students' interests and concerns. It offers students opportunity to come closer to getting jobs by interviewing alumni and introducing their tactic. Vox-Populi shows another example of The Post's student-centered strength. Surveying, informing and sharing with the students' opinions may help make DU free, democratic society. Comments on the questionnaire were succinct and pertinent. How about making the questionnaires more diversified? You might get unexpected and multi-dimensionalideas.  For me 'foreigners eye' column (on steroid) was great in learning and relishing genuine English expressions. I enjoyed the erudition of the writer. Had the subject been more relevant to students' actual life, it might have been perfect.  Lastly, along with containing fruitful researches and reports as you are now doing, more articles on students' activities will attract more Donggukians' attention.Also, for The Post to be cherished by all students, you'd better allot more space to students' contributions.  I hope to see The Dongguk Post superb among English magazines. The bright future must have already been ensured by the passion of the staffs and reporters, gems of DU!
