Opening of korean language training institution

The Center for Korean Language Education (CKLE) in Dongguk was selected by the government to be a Korean training institution for Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) students for the first time.

The CKLE will start Korean language training to government-invited foreigners from April 1st and the training will last for a year.  Students from Romania, Brazil, Malaysia and Thailand will be eligible for Korean language training.  The Korean Government will bear all the expenses for these students such as school fees, living expenses and flight fares.
The students will take the Korean language proficiency test after a year of Korean language training.  Two students, a Brazilian and a Thai, have already gained admission to Dongguk University and will start at the school in the next year.  Four students will get 1000 hours of Korean language training in one year and they will take the class Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.

These four students will stay in the Guest House in Chungmuro and also in the duplex house in Seocho-dong since Dongguk does not have its own dormitory on campus at the moment.
The CKLE expects to have more students every year and the KGSP is expected to help Dongguk University become more exposed internationally.
