On May 8, the memorial day of Dongguk University's (DU) Centennial Anniversary, a commemorative postage stamp was issued by Seoul Regional Communications' Office, and the office handed over the stamp formally in the Main Hall reception room at DU.  The commemorative stamp was illustrated with a dessin of Myeongjin Hall by designer Noh Jung-hwa.
  "I visited DU to select the theme that best symbolizes the University.  I decided on the archaic and beautiful Myeongjin Hall.  It is the architectual heart of DU, as well," she said.
  Noh explained that she tried to put DU's 100-year history onto the stamp.  As a matter of fact, Myeongjin Hall has symbolized DU since the 1950s, the beginning of DU's university period.  The building won the Korean Stone Architecture Prize after its construction.
  The commemorative stamp is sold at post offices for 220 won.
