Dongguk University (DU) carried out 'Clean Dongguk Campaign'. It was hosted by the General Student Council (GSC) and the Club Union and was sponsored by Student Affairs Team. This campaign featured six main events: 1) speed limit of vehicles, 2) prohibition of dumping, 3) anti-noise movement, 4) proper observance of etiquette in library, 5) prohibition of smoking in certain public areas and 6) keeping campus bulletin boards clean. The GSC held some campus envents from September 10 to 14. They chose a special event on each day and focused on informing students about the campaign. A car-free day was carried out on September 10, the opening day of this campaign. On the Second day, 'Clean bulletin' was set up at 8 different places on campus. The GSC decided that all students and campus clubs must get permission to put a poster on a bulletin board, and only one poster can be posted in each board.
The six main events were carried out in order during this campaign week. On September 13, the GSC invited Jin Joong-gwon, a columnist and asked him to give a lecture about cultural revolution in digital era . And on September 14, the closing day of the campaign, 'Clean Dongguk Supporters' and student volunteers cleaned Jang Chung Park and the area near the campus. Also the GSC gave some presents to campus cleaners.
