DU Joins Hands With Mie University
Dongguk University (DU) and Mie University (MU) of Japan agreed to have an exchanging students program on March 24. DU President Hong Gi-sam and MU Vice-President Ueno Tatsuhiko and faculty members of each school made the agreement at the DU President's office. MU is a Japanese national university with five colleges.
 The Vice-President of MU said, " I have to admit that our biological research was incomplete last year, but throughout the new program with DU we will progress successively and improve research at MU."
Hong Gi-sam said, "DU is conducting a study on Buddhist Ecology, analysing the similarities between Buddhism and Ecology. I'm glad that we can share information with MU which focuses on studying the eco environment." The President showed his passions for this program insisting on having a balanced research exchange with the Mie University.
Every year, as many as five undergraduate and graduate students will be selected from each University.
