My Third Dream
In my early childhood, a kindergarten teacher asked us, "What are your dreams?" We kindergartners answered: "the President of Korea," "a scientist," or "a Miss Korea," but I answered, "my mother."
Yes, at the age of six, my dream was to become my mother. So I followed her around all day long, and I behaved like my mother. I even wanted to be called not by my name but by my mother's name, "Hee-yun." This was my first dream.
I met the second one in elementary school, my teacher in the second grade. He was a kind-hearted man. He played with us joyfully during rest times. Because I was excited by him at that time, the new dream came to me: a public school teacher. The new dream lasted quite a long time, it was not a resolute one.
Time passed, I had hoped for a vigorous university life, like the one in Nonstop (a MBC situation comedy.) After entering university, I was keen to search Dongari. And I found The Dongguk Post. It allured me. So I volunteered and got the chance to join the post. But soon I considered leaving because the duty of a reporter was tougher than I expected. Nevertheless the first magazine I joined has established. No one knows the priceless feeling I had that day.
Now my third dream is to become a REAL reporter of The Dongguk Post. My dream may not mean anything to you, but it means everything to me.
