Eventually the time came. For two and a half years, I have never imagined the moment I would complete my task as a student reporter of The Dongguk Post. Recalling my life until now, in fact, I still do not know how things turned out to be. Almost every time, I was overwhelmed with a lot of work to do and I had to focus on completing my duties on all occasions. I was always under excessive amount of business. Therefore, I could take care of nothing else but only my tasks as a Cub Reporter, Post Reporter, and finally Editor-in-Chief.
Even if I describe the time I spent working in the Post as strenuous, I have learned many things and changed myself in positive ways while working as a student reporter. I could learn how to manage my time efficiently and meet many new people. Above all, the biggest thing I earned was the responsibility as a leader. When I was a middle and high school student, I had experienced of a club leader. However, I felt like working as the Editor-in-Chief of the press was clearly in a different category. As the articles we issue are read by many Donggukians and may have some influence on them, I had to pay attention to everything in minute detail. On this account, I was able to be responsible and develop myself to reach maturity.
Writing this, my last article, many people I met and worked together in the Post are coming to my mind. Above all, I really want to give thanks to my colleague Hae-su the most. Since I experienced many other colleague reporters go out of the Post, I had been very confused whether it is right to leave here or finish the term to the end. Every time I felt like that, Hae-su raised me up so I could be myself as I am now. Additionally, I was very pleased to work with good seniors and juniors. Since they had what I did not, I could learn from them so much. I will miss them all and will remember The Dongguk Post forever!
