According to the The Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation (LINC+), there will be a new program called, “Campus Living Lab.” It is a program which students, companies, and the local community gather and settle the conflict. Jung-gu district, Dongguk University, local government, and local commercial areas are joining the project to improve the university town.
The Delight LINC+ Agency first started to alleviate the education system of the universities to resolve the mismatch of the employment and progress the local industry. It aims to create local enterprises-related diverse industrial-educational leading models and support outstanding workforce. Dongguk University has been selected as part of the project since 2012. The students of Dongguk University can join the project to figure out the demand of the community and suggest activities applicable to develop the town. It allows students from the diverse majors to directly join the local cultural industry, so that they can cooperate to progress with the university and local commercial areas.
As a part of the plan, Dongguk University got the opportunity to join “Seo-ae University Culture Street” project from September 4th. Park Myeong-ho, the director of the project, said, “Students of Dongguk University would get experiences of utilizing their own major for the project.” Currently, there is a monthly held meeting for the officers from Jung-gu office, several professors, and student researchers.
