Job Support at Dongguk University (DU) offers a 'Relay Speech program?from March 20. This program is held every Tuesday at Dahyang Hall seminar room from 5: 30 p.m. to 7: 30. Its purpose is to prepare juniors for future careers and to offer a practical help and specific information for seniors entering the workforce. Only the first one hundred applicants can attend each seminar.
Generally, the seminars speech are about the prospects of getting a job, trends of the business world and the characteristic and talents that will help one succeed (basic requisites, individual ability, qualification etc).
Representatives of Posco, Deawoo, Samsung and Korea Land Corporation are coming to inform students about construction, operation, distribution industry and public enterprise. Also, a high school vice-principal will give information about being a teacher. An MBC announcer and curator are invited, too.
Since there weren't any vacant seats on March 20, this program is relevant. It will be continued until June 5.
upport for Recruiting is offering a 'mailing service?for the first time this year. Therefore, DU Students don뭪 have to get all the information for employment by themselves.
There is a request corner for receiving mail service about employment in Job Support homepage. "If students asked for mail service, they can get a lot of information everyday by mail,?Chae Hee-won, working for Job Support Center in DU, said. "We expect that students can find the proper information that satisfies each individual's needs.?
This mailing service is just part of the career coaching education program. Job Support is managing other programs besides this service. The name Quotation System, Dongguk Career Elite Program (DECP), has been changed to 'Dongguk Chamsarang Quotation?and its completion requisites have been modified in a few parts. What's more, there are many services like interview skills, employment camp and Career Woman Academy.
Career Woman Academy is designed for female students and only the first fifty applicants can attend this program. From March 16 to March 18, it was for female students majoring in Engineering, and from March 30 to April 1 it was for Liberal Arts majors. There will be a program for all female students on May 11.
"We are always thinking about how to give new and practical information for students. So we try to develop many programs and services every year,? Chae said.
