“Seo-ae-ro’s Blue Night” held
On September 27th, “Seo-ae-ro’s Blue Night” took place in Seo-ae-ro. There was a concert hosted by the General Student Council from 6 P.M. and 46 business establishments on Seo-ae-ro sold their foods in low price.
The concert was presided by Choi Gwang-baek, the former president of the GSC, and began with congratulatory speeches. Choi Chang-sik, the Jung District Mayor, said, “Unlike other festivals that are biased to the host groups, ‘Seo-ae-ro’s Blue Night’ is a festival which not only Donggukians but also residents can join in. Therefore, I am proud of the festival.” In addition, the representative of the Seo-ae-ro merchant alliance conveyed celebrating words.

Several performances proceeded on the stage. The first team was “Moongae-gooreum,” one of the band clubs of Dongguk University and busking performance was presented by Beoum-jin, a singer. Then, the GSC held a visible radio in a form of talk show and communicated with the audience about their experiences. Continually, the band club “Arirang” performed several songs.
During the festival, there was a flea market along the street and sold products like perfume. In addition, stores on the Seo-ae-ro discounted 30 percents each for the customers.
Concert Held as a Part of “Ga-eul-gil Festival”
On September 29th, from 5 P.M. to 11 P.M, a concert of “Ga-eul-gil Festival” was held in Manhae Square. It was made up of performances presented by clubs of Dongguk University, singing contest named “Mokmyuk Song Contest,” and singers’ special stages.
The concert began with a magic club “Lotus,” performing various tricks. After then, band club “Eumsem,” hip-hop club “Ilusion,” and a dance club “ODC” made performances, playing four songs each. Performances of school clubs continued after song contest, too. Band club “AJAX,” “Arirang,” “Moongae-gooreum,” and “Fearless Dawn” were those who performed then. In addition, a dance team “M&R,” the winner of previous festival, showed their performance as a celebration.

The “Mokmyuk Song Contest” took place in the second part. There were six teams who passed priliminary round. Men duo “September” made the first stage. In succession, men duo “WACY,” coed duo “CS25,” men duo “Twinpolio,” women trio “Paboce,” and a band “Autumn Elephant” performed songs. In the contest, team “WACY,” who sang their own song “Rain Falling in midwinter” won the first prize and received 500 thousand won.

Not only Donggukians but also singers came to the concert and made their performances. The first team was “Geeks,” a Korean hip pop duo, and one of the songs they performed was “Officially Missing You.” “Urban Zakapa,” a Korean R&B singer-songwriter group, also came to the concert and they sang “Thursday Night” and four more songs.
Meanwhile, there were several quiz times to arouse students’ participation and gave presents such as movie tickets and radio-controled mouses.
