   On February 3rd, 299th board meeting was held at the Lotus Hall located in Main Hall. Ven Ji-young, Ven Bub-san, Ven Se-young, and Ven Jeong-nyeom Sunim were elected as the new board of directors. Students were blocked in front of the Main Hall, as faculty closed all the doors of the main building with barricade.

   From nine directors of the Board, seven of them participated but Ven Ho-sun Sunim and Ven Dong-guan Sunim were absent. Seven agendas were discussed at the meeing; Appointment of new directors of the Board, appointment for the commission of open school board recommendation, human resources affairs of both campuses of Dongguk University, human resources affairs of kindergardens and primary, middle schools, approval of supplementary budget of each organizations, extinguishment and changing the usage of original properties, and etc. 

   For the first agenda, Ven Bub-san, Ven Se-young, Ven Jeong-nyeom Sunim were elected as the new members of the board of directors in replacement for Ven Myoung-sin, Ven Sim-kyoung, Ven Sam-bo Sunim. Also Ven Ji-heung Sunim resigned on December 18th that Ven Ji-won Sunim is filling the vacancy. Students were enraged by the result as Ven Ji-won Sunim is known for his participation in the incident regarding the resignation of Kim Hee-ok, the previous president, that has happened in Koreana Hotel. It is said that the incident had served as the trigger of the ongoing conflicts.

   For the second agenda, appointment for the commission of open school board recommendation, Inspector Choi Dae-sik announced his resignation under the condition that he will resign after new director and inspector is appointed. The appointment will be proceeded by Ven U-bong Sunim, Director Kim Seon-gun, Director Kim Gyu who were elected as the commission of the open school board recommendation.

   During the meeting, the item regarding the resignations of the board of directors was not discussed.
