On December 2nd, 3 P.M., the second candle assembly had started at Paljeongdo. Similar to the first assembly, students marched around Paljeongdo while repeating their rallying cry, “Resign Ven Ilmyun and Ven Bogwang Sunim,” “Vice Chairperson Kim of GSC please stop the hunger strike,” and “Chairperson Choi of SCP please do not throw yourself to death.” After the march, students went into the Main Hall.
In the Main Hall, students sat down in front of Lotus Hall where the President's office is located. Yet, the office was closed by metal shutter. Students shared their opinions and feelings towards the incidents happening in the school.
Jo Hyun-ji, a sophomore majoring Public Administration said “I feel guilty when I eat after seeing how the vice chairperson of GSC is starving to fight for this matter. I do not understand why good has to starve and the bad people get to eat.,” and added, “I believe power of students is essential to solve this problem.”
