On November 19th 7 P.M., Second hearing of the student council candidates took place at the Cho Heo Dang seminar room in the Academic Cultural Center. The purpose of the second hearing was to present and discuss about each candidates’ pledges. The hearing was divided into four main categories: pledges for students’ welfare, for each college, regarding BMC, and finally a general discussion.
For students’ welfare, new scholarship was presented from both sides. From team Hashtag, Youth Scholarship was proposed in order to encourage diversity of talents from students. Team Cider promised revival of Class Top Scholarship.
Main discussion on pledges for each college was renovating old school buildings. Team Cider made a pledge to fix old facilities in Wonheumg Hall and old computers and printers in the College of Education. Both teams promised to fix Myeongjin Hall and to build smoking booths for smokers.
Main topic of pledge on BMC was a reopening of Living Cooperative Association. Andre from Hashtag commented “The reason why LCA came out of BMC was because they lacked customers. However, now that more colleges and students have been moved to BMC, there will be enough customers for LCA.”
