On May 6, Kim Kyung-jae was granted an honorary doctor's degree in economics from Dongguk University (DU), which celebrated the 99th anniversary of its founding in the Academic Cultural Center.
  Mr. Kim was president of the DU alumni association in Los Angeles for 4 years. He is a representative director of KJ Corporation, in the States. Mr. Kim began inviting 20 students to the USA last year as well as helping students prepare for national exams. Thus, selected DU students were able to go to the U.S. and were enriched by their experience.
  "Even though I emigrated to the U.S, I've never forgotten my school days. DU led me in the right direction for the future." "It is always my pleasure to help alumni who have potential," continued Mr. Kim. "I believe DU's future will be a lot brighter if we find more ways of getting support from other alumni," he added.
