Manhae Hall Opened
Manhae Hall was opened on Feb. 23. The old Central Library is remodeled into the building. It took ten months to complete the remodeling.
It consists of five floors. The first and second floors are for the Dept. of Law and the College of Buddhist Studies. These floors contain seven lecture rooms, 120 seats for Buddhist meditation, a moot court, and four seminar rooms. The other stories are to be used for professors' offices. Every story has a reading room. The fourth story has four conference rooms where Donggukians can hold meetings.
The existing Central Library is planned to use only for searching data, according to Facility Management.
"Through the newly-built Manhae Hall, we will be able to solve the lack of campus space. It has about 50% more spaces than did the old library. This new building will offer a better academic atmosphere," said a staff member.
