On May 16th, the opening ceremony was held for the Buddhist Food-processing Laboratory at Dahyang Hall seminar room. This ceremony was supported by the Life Science College. In terms of individual well-being and health, the consuming public has been fascinated by Buddhist food-processing, but concrete research about Buddhist food-processing has not progressed because of the religion image. DongGuk University(DGU) created the Buddhist food-processing Laboratory as a Buddhist university so that DGU can proceed with research about Buddhist food-processing and develop various studies about this. Many celebrities and others were presented at this opening ceremony and a Jung-mu Buddhist priest who is an elder leader in the Jogye Order gave a lecture about 'Buddhism and health'. Buddhist food-processing laboratory will increase DGU prestige and helps to develop new School Brand product.
