Q.Have you ever made a mistake at The Dongguk Post?
A.Unfortunately.... Yes, I have.  When I  had just become a member of The Post, I helped a senior to write an article.  The 357th Cover Story dealt with president Oh Young-Gyo's inauguration.  So we need his picture for the cover.  I found pictures of his serious face on the Internet.  These pictures were taken when President Oh was the minister of The Ministry at Government Administrator and Home Affairs.  I called the photojournalist who took the pictures and asked him if the Post could use the pictures.  Then he ask me for a royalty but it was too expensive to pay. So I asked him to give us one picture for free.  Suddenly, he became angry because he thought that I ignored the picture's value.  I didn't expect his response and got confused.  I didn't understand the importance of copyright protection.  Now I know that copyright protection is very important.

Q.Why did you become a Post reporter?
A.When I was a high school student, I was a huge fan of Lee Seung Gi, a famous singer and Donggukian.  I am still a big fan of his.  At first, I thought I could interview Mr. Lee if I became a reporter for The Dongguk Post.  Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to meet him, but I am still looking forward to interviewing him someday.
In addition, I would like to be a professional reporter in the future.  I believe my experiences at the Post would be very helpful to me.  Meeting new people, interviewing them, taking their pictures and writing about them are very exciting work to me.  After six months at the Post, I felt that my life as a future reporter would be fantastic and I could enjoy my life.  As a post reporter, I would like to meet as many people as I can and write about their life stories.

Q.What do you like most about The Dongguk Post?
A.Summer camp was really nice.  We went to Daebu island for one night and two days.  We played in the muddy tidal flat and talked a lot together until sunrise.
We had a really great time.  I'll never forget it.
Actually, to me, all experiences and activities at The Post are really precious and interesting.  After I became a member of the Post, I had many new experiences including interviewing, taking pictures, attending conferences and writing articles.  It was hard work, but I met many nice people and learned many things.  Now I'm satisfied with my university life.
I know I should try hard to become a good reporter because my English is not good enough.  So I will do my best in every work in The Post and study to improve my English.  I'm really happy to be a reporter at The Post.  Every moment is precious to me.

Q. As a reporter, who do you want to interview?
A. I want to interview anyone who strives to achieve his or her own personal goals.  They do not have to be either famous or successful, but should be inspiring to the students. I think anyone who tries to achieve his or her personal goal is someone who makes a difference no matter how trivial the goal is, such as picking up trash on  campus, helping the handicapped, bringing up children, etc. For example, I would rather interview a school janitor who works diligently and with responsibility for campus hygiene than a famous movie actor who can attract many readers.
Honestly, one of the reasons that I applied for the Dongguk Post was to meet famous people, celebrities in our society.  However, after meeting many people while working, I came to realize that ordinary people can give students great lessons and inspire enthusiasm.

Q. What would you be doing if you hadn't joined the Dongguk Post?
A. If I hadn't joined the Dongguk Post, maybe I would have joined DUTC (Dongguk Univ. Tennis club) or another sports club.  When I entered into DU, I wanted to join a sports club because I like outdoor activities.  I didn't want to waste my free time during the school day.  Then one day I was fascinated by a Dongguk Post wall poster.  So I applied for the Dongguk Post with friends and we all joined the Post.  First of all, I could escape an ordinary student life through the Dongguk Post.  If I didn't join the Post, I don't know how I'd be spending my time.  Being a reporter for the Donnguk Post is a responsibility that adds something to my campus life.  I love being a reporter, for the Dongguk Post.
