On Sept. 15, a special event, "First Dongguk Bookworm Quiz Contest," was held in front of the sacred image of the Buddha. The contest was held bythe Central library (CL) and Dongguk University Broadcasting System (DUBS) to encourage Donggukians to read books by. The dean of Central Library, Choi In-suk, gave an opening address and DUBS announcers hosted the contest for two hours.
 The third question, "Spell Buddha in English," stumped most students. But they later got a chance to answer other questions. The contest was won at the 35th question. Kwak Sang-tan, a junior in the Doep of Political Science and Diplomacy, took first place and a prize of 1000,000 won. He said, "I want to take a trip with the money."
 A staff member of the Central library said, "Although this is first time, donggukkians showed a great interest." This event will be held annually or every semester.
