Jeonggakwon is running "Ready to Meditate," a meditation program, from September 20th to December 8th. They are running various training programs for the wise meditation life of the Donggukians. All Dongguk University professors, students, and employees can participate in "Ready to Meditate."
To be specific, the program is held every Tuesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, a self-pity meditation program under the theme of “being friends with me” is held between 10A.M. to 11A.M. and 11A.M. to 12A.M.. Programs such as discovering self-pity, stopping and looking at one’s life, cultivating compassion and pity for oneself, and being with life will be held from the first to the fourth week.
Between 2P.M. to 3P.M. and 3P.M. to 4P.M., a "Yoga-tation" that combines yoga and meditation will be held. During the Yoga-tation session, you can learn how to relax and breathe by greeting your body, learning about your body, dealing with your body, and challenging your body. On Thursday, "Singing Bowl" meditation therapy will be held between 10A.M. to 11A.M. and 11A.M. to 12A.M. During this session, you can learn more deeply about singing bowls and meditation, and also learn about Chakra Meditation. They run programs about getting close to Singing Bowl, Singing Bowl and relaxation, Singing Bowl and Chakra Meditation, and Observation Meditation through Relaxing Singing Bowl. In addition, there is a mindful teatime called "Mind Tea Room" from 2P.M. to 3P.M. and from 3P.M. to 4P.M.. At the Mind Tea Room, under the theme of meeting with tea, staying in tea, looking at tea, and learning more about tea and meditation, you will have a time to learn about tea and meditation in depth.
Participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis for each time section. To participate in Ready to Meditate, you must apply through UDRIMS or MDRIMS in advance. You can also apply with friends. All programs are held in the B08 meditation room on the first basement floor of Manhae Hall.
Jeonggakwon is holding an event to give gifts to the first 108 people participating in the program. In addition, scholarships will be selected and paid to students with the best participation. They provide opportunities for all Donggukians to recharge their bodies and minds through meditation. Moreover, they especially recommend for the students to participate in the program and get closer to their friends. All professors, students, and employees who are usually interested in meditation and discipline or interested in the Jeonggakwon programs will be able to actively participate and gain good experience in meditation.
