Recruitment of Global Culture Planning Team “Outlookie” Began
On May 17th, Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) announced the recruitment of the Global Culture Planning Team “Outlookie.” It is a global cultural planning team where university students from all over the world gather around to learn Korean culture and share the value of Korean culture. Outlookie is recruiting its new members to promote the charm of Korean culture and become cultural ambassadors to interact with Korean society.
Outlookie mentoring is an in-depth learning program of Korean culture to have the ability as a cultural ambassador to share and enjoy Korean culture with various people. The 2022 Outlookie members will learn Korean culture through mentoring in five different fields and complete performance with mentors and team members. Five different fields of mentoring are Korean-pop (K-pop) dance, Taekwondo dance, K-pop music, Samul nori, and Korean fan dance. Furthermore, Outlookie Festival will be held to promote Korean culture to various people through activities planned and prepared by Outlookie members.
Foreign students enrolled in domestic universities and graduate schools, having the ability to communicate with Koreans with ease and having the big interest in Korean culture that can eventually become a cultural ambassador with the will to lead the cultural project, can apply for the recruitment. About 80 foreign students will be recruited and people with experience in mentoring activities mentioned above or people who actively use social network service (SNS) will get preference over others.
For the application, fill out the application form which can be downloaded from KOFICE website, make an application video referring to the application video production guide, and send it to Outlookie email address (email@example.com). If your application file does not follow the file format designated by KOFICE or if you miss any of the designated files, you can be excluded from the recruitment process, so check the application announcement accurately before applying.
The deadline for application is June 17th, and a non-face-to-face examination will be conducted based on the submitted application files without additional interview evaluation. Final results will be announced on the KOFICE website on June 22nd and successful applicants will also be informed individually.
As a precaution before application, all the programs will be conducted in Korean, and there might be some changes in the scheduled program due to the spread of COVID-19 during the activity period.
