The heads of each organization are gathering to discuss the planning of the Buddha's birthday event.

The 5th Joint Conference of Heads of Construction Institute was held on April 13th at 2 P.M. on the fifth floor of the main building. The head of various agencies attended and talked about the major achievement of each agency, future plans, major schedules, and discussions. Dongguk University’s Seoul Campus has operated a weekly and weekend family memorial service, and on April 6th at 6 P.M., the lighting ceremony was held in Paljeongdo. The major schedule remaining is the Lantern Festival held on April 30 and the Bonchuk Ceremony held on May 3rd.
Other discussions were preparations and plans for the Buddha’s Birthday and matters related to the first anniversary of the foundation of the Construction Committee. First of all, as an event on Buddah’s Birthday, a celebration of the lotus lantern was held. An event was held to hang students’ wishes. Dongguk University’s Seoul Campus Bongchuk Ceremony will be held at 10:30 P.M. on May 3rd at Jeonggakwon buddha hall. Under the theme of “Peace and Hope,” a piano performance by the professor and a classical quartet by the club OPUS will be held. Also, there will be a lantern-making festival from time to time after April 1st. The lantern-making event will be held during the Lotus Lantern Festival, and after that, the student council will produce lotus lanterns from time to time. In addition, the Student Council Buddhist Law Association linked to the Seoklim Association will also be implemented in May. It will be conducted twice before and after Buddha’s coming Day and will have time to learn more about the basic doctrines and the eight degrees of four sacred rituals in the first and second sessions.
Finally, in celebration of the first anniversary of the foundation of the Construction School Committee, the Dongguk Buddhist campaign “Gonyang-Gesong Music” will be produced. With the cooperation of the university broadcasting station DUBS, it will record and produce various voices such as monks, adults, and students, and promote broadcasting during the offering time.
