From 2022, the graduation requirements for Dongguk University students will be simplified. Existing subject-centered graduation requirements had problems such as students not being able to register for courses they wanted to take in order to complete the graduation requirements, or having difficulties due to overlapping schedules of required subjects for major and double majors. To solve this problem, the school decided to shift the graduation requirements from the subject-centered one to the minimum required credits-centered one.
As graduation requirements are simplified, there will be changes in the way of completing academic basics, basic college majors, common college courses, and major courses. The requirements for transfer students will also change. The new graduation requirements will begin to be applied to those eligible for graduation in August 2022, regardless of the admission year.
