△ Choi Yu-ri (Sophomore, Department of Chinese Language & Literature)

   While I was thinking about whether there would be a good opportunity to express my characteristics that like to talk to people and can write their stories well, I knocked on the door of the Dongguk Post. Since I like to use English, I found it attractive to write articles in English, and I could communicate with my schoolmates through articles that touched my heart the most. Working as a cub reporter of the Dongguk Post, I learned many new things that I did not know before. In order to write an article, I had to go through a presentation, and found that deciding which material to write the article on was the most important foundation. Also, I learned that when I write an article, I should look at the problem with a neutral view, not a one-sided view. At first, I was confused that the methods of writing were also set as a framework, but I became familiar with the process of becoming a post reporter and creating English newspapers after finishing a cub reporter. 

   After receiving a regular business card and writing a debut essay in this issue, it feels more real that I became a post reporter. I want to become a reporter who complements all the parts that I lacked when I was a cub reporter and show me not to make mistakes. Also, I want to become a reporter who writes articles with richer writing skills. I would like to say thank you to the Dongguk Post for welcoming me by opening the door wide so that I can take a step closer to my dream. In front of all the readers who read my debut essay, I promise to be a grown-up reporter.
