△ Park Ji-won (Junior, Department of Statistics)

   After entering the university, I became interested in English activities that I can actively participate in during the semester. Then, I heard about the Dongguk Post, and decided to apply for it since writing articles in English on freely selected topics looked very interesting. At first, working as a cub reporter was quite difficult. Finding objective information and writing an article in fixed format felt unfamiliar. Moreover, it was not easy to find a topic that was both interesting and reflecting the situation well at the time. However, in the process of writing and revising articles, I could improve my English writing skills, and as I searched for the subject, I became interested in minor incidents that I had not thought carefully before. In addition, checking the completed newspaper that was made after a long time of effort gave me great impression.

   While working as a reporter in the Dongguk Post, I will try hard to become a better reporter who delivers important school news through the English newspaper to Donggukians who cannot attend school due to COVID-19, especially foreign friends who are not familiar with Korean. I am looking forward to making many good memories at the Dongguk Post.
