△ Lee Su-yeon (Sophomore, Department of Industrial&Systems Engineering)

   My term at the Dongguk Post, where I spent more than half of my college life so far, is coming to an end. It does not feel real even at this moment writing swan song. I am sad but feel like a burden is lifted from my shoulders at the same time, as working as a reporter at the Dongguk Post was tough. 

   However, working at the Dongguk Post is one of the activities that advanced me in my college life. At first, I was too shy to reveal my opinion in front of others. Now, I confidently reveal my opinion about the writings of others and got used to writing articles and combining republication schedule with my studies. What is more, when I wanted to write an article about a certain subject, I visited the places for the richness of the article. Looking back, I feel proud of myself as I am advanced than I was at the beginning of the term.

   I think teamwork and responsibility are important when working at the Dongguk Post as it is similar to a team project with several people working together to complete a newspaper. Therefore, occasionally I got tired as my schedules were organized totally based on the schedule of the Dongguk Post and I could not lay back down until I was done with my work. Whenever that happened, I was able to cheer up thanks to my colleagues. 

   There are so many people who helped me and the Dongguk Post to advance. I am grateful to professor Park Bum-sik, and Barry Welsh for correcting our articles every time and giving precious advice. Also, I am thankful to seniors of the Dongguk Post, professors who wrote essays, many friends and experts who were willing to respond to my interview requests. Lastly, my colleagues, especially Da-young, who shouldered the biggest responsibility for publication and always trusted on me, were big supports to me while I was working at the Dongguk Post. 

   As time passes, hard memories are forgotten, and only good memories remain. I am sure that someday I will really miss the days working at the Post.  Also, I will always support the Post and future reporters with all my heart.
